Community Impact Filmmaking

I know this is kinda wack and looks rushed...it was. Days before all of my projects were due my external hard drive died with all of my footage, edits and stuff I had been working on on it. I was screwed and had to rush to get stuff handed. I'm really embarrassed because this is in no way indicative of my usual work product. As soon as I get this handled, I'll be posting re-do's of both the sound slide presentation and the documentary. I know this sucks, so please be kind with comments.

fire

The wild fires up north and in Orange county got me thinking...Disasters always seem so far off and distant, until they happen in your own back yard. Here are some pictures that I took of the big Griffith Park fire. They are blurry because I was driving home from school and steering with my knees, while dangling my camera out the window. Very dangerous I know, but what can I say...I like to live on the edge.

some photos from my project

this is just a little quick and dirty glimpse of what I'm working on. I'm still capturing like 8 more hours of footage...so i haven't extracted my audio yet.

Friends and family

Here are just some pictures of me and my friends hanging out being goofy. I know I make it seem like I am constantly doing school work...but occasionally I do find the time to let loose and stop being a nerd.

about my project

Well as of right now, I am sort of debating on two possible projects. Since I do have a deadline, I am sort of working on both. One is a profile of artist Andre LaHue living and working in the West Hollywood area. The other is a profile of Plaza de la Raza cultural center and the learning services film making program, working in conjunction with Cal State LA.
